You might want to save some weight on your disc braked road bike, doesn’t everyone? You might also want to help make your bike faster. That is the design goals behind our Aero 35 Disc, and we want them to be the perfect all-around road bike wheel. One that you can use to sail up Alpine climbs, and one that you can also use on a chain gang on a club night.
To save this weight we had to change the construction of the rim. We now use a combination of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber. They are modern wide, and blunt aero rim profile. A profile that smooths the air’s passage over your wheels. They are just as strong, and we still offer the same 2-year guarantee. They are still as stiff, and you won’t be losing any watts when you stand up out of the tight mountain hairpin.
Lacing the wheel, we could only use the spokes that perfectly match these characteristics. We went with Sapim CX-Ray spokes. CX-Ray spokes are the aero spoke choice of most professional wheel builders. They offer low weight, stiffness, and great fatigue resistance.
At the end of the spokes, we have fitted a set of sealed bearing Novatec D411SB/ D412SB hubs. The hubs come ready to take Centerlock rotors and use thru axles to attach them to your bike. The front hub takes a 100 x 12mm and the rear hub 142 x 12mm thru axle.
